When I first entered into the world of crop circles - making a crop circle never entered my mind as people were not capable of making such geometric wonders - well that's what I thought at the time. ( I'm sure some of you still do - for whatever reason ! )

There are many others out there who have their own agendas in why they want you to believe that man has not the capability to create a perfect geometric design in the dead of night - they of course want you to believe that there is magic, magic which is created by aliens or some other paranormal intelligences. Magic which unites the world ! - what you really have to take into consideration that MAGIC IS DECEPTION to the eye, mind and your wallet.

If you really want to know the facts and hidden agendas then you HAVE TO be a part of it at all levels so if you want to be know as a crop circle researcher then you should explore everything that is categorically mentioned within the phenomenon. Looking at it from one sided opinion does not make you a crop circle researcher and if you haven't seen a perfect crop circle created by people or made one yourself then that also does not make you a crop circle researcher. You have to see it being created and get your hands dirty before you can be judgemental.

During our own investigation ( which was no longer just a day out any more ) we started to wake up so to speak that man could create large geometric land art, especially after the Eastfield incident in 2010. Then one of our team members was successfully introduced by Mr. Julian Gibsone from Cop Circle Connector to Circle makers who were skilled and had long term experience in circle making. After one of our team assisted in the making of the Chisbury Star formation we realised that there were many hidden secrets within the phenomenon - simply there was more to it than you and I were told.

So from this point onwards we decided to break some rules and even the law and started to dig deep into every possibility - one of those possibilities was ' Could we make a perfect crop circle independently in the dead of night ? and  without the assistance of expert artists.

_This is our story in how we conducted and made our first independent crop circle in wheat .
With some prior knowledge and advise from other circle makers under our hats we set off searching for the appropriate field and location. There were many fields to chose from but the one and only problem we encountered was what to do with our car? . Parking outside the field you have chosen isn't really an ideal option so the whole process took nearly four hours until we found a suitable location to park our car and take a hike towards the chosen field. ( The ideal situation is for someone to drop you off at the location and pick you up after the deed has been done - on this day we didn't have this option )  Prior to parking our car all equipment was dropped off and hidden in the chosen field ( of course you don't want to be seen walking with planks and marking sticks !! - do you now ?! not in Wiltshire anyway !) While we hanged around for daylight to disappear we run through the plan of action and discussed who was going to carry out various tasks. After a strong black coffee we took a steady hike towards the chosen location.
Approximately 10.30pm we approached the chosen field and slipped into the field unnoticed. We paused for a moment or so to have a final look around for cars, people etc. Daylight was still visible but it was a cloudy day which helped in making us more invisible in an open field ( Dark clothing or Army type camouflage does also help ) .  We retrieved our planks, surveyors tape and white tipped sticks ( markers ) and headed down a chosen tram line.
At this point I personally begun to feel that what we were about to do was wrong but it had to be done ! - not because we wanted to fool anyone, it was for our own investigative records. At least we could describe it the way it was ( truthfully ) rather than relying on second hand accounts and of course the proof that amateurs like us could pull off a stunt just like the pros.
The curiosity factor also takes hold whether something mysterious may appear and scare the living daylights out of you and send you packing. ( We did see and experience strange happenings while out with other circle makers but would it happen without them - that was the question ? )
The walk seemed endless to a suitable point in the field but in the time it took us to arrive at the location our eyes were fully adjusted so we could see pretty clearly around us.
We stopped for a few minutes to get our breath back and had that final look around - placed a marker in the ground ( Tram line ) for position of belongings and equipment. ( when equipment was no longer required we agreed to return all equipment to this marker - the last thing you need is to put something down and then spend hours trying to remember where you left it - so its good practice to get into this type of mentality ).
We were good to go ! . Before we started we joined hands and said a prayer asking for guidance, protection and assistance . I don't really know why we do this ( as it is in theory a criminal act about to be committed  ) but I guess its psychological and gives you a sense of security . ( with my own experiences out in the field I do suspect that  there are ears out there  that are listening ! ) When you make your first crop circle in the middle of the night one thing which I did was to constantly look around and listen for any  odd distant sounds. The feeling is pretty normal and expected as you are committing an offence ( you don't want to be caught - so awareness is essential ) and not only this you are also aware of the possibility of something paranormal appearing in the distance so be prepared to be jumpy at first.

One of the crew holding the tape measure gently walked through the upright wheat without even breaking one stem - this can be achieved by slowly sliding your foot on the soil, rather than taking steps. Taking steps can put you off balance as you try to find a gap to place your foot in. By sliding your foot across the soil gently you can manoeuvre your feet around the base of the stems. The aim is to create an illusion that it was not possible for humans to have entered the wheat without causing any damage !.
The other end of the tape was a crew member walking backwards along the tram line until the desired measurement /circumference of our initial circle was reached.
We pre-marked the tape measure with a florescent liquid ( grab yourself some thin glow sticks which you can buy from
Pound Land for £1 for a box of 10 !! - do a small cut at the top of the glow stick and use it as a writing pen on your tape measure ) so  we knew exactly that we reached 100 feet as our 100 feet writing  glowed on the measure ! - simple but very effective. The glow is not visible if you stand 20 feet away from it so don't worry, nobody will see it from a distance.
The person holding the end of the tape makes sure that the tape is taught and then begins side stepping through the wheat ( I found that sliding your foot across the base of the wheat gave a better flattened line definition - basically the construction line is more visible in the dark)
Once the initial construction lines of our circle were laid we then we flattened the first part of the wheat . ( This provides work space and allows movement for other crew members who may still be waiting in the tram line ) . The volunteers who do the flattening/stomping  should be prepared for some hard sweaty work ,strained butt cheeks and aching hips.
Once the initial circle was flattened we then divided the circle into four parts - using the marker sticks for positioned measurement ( if you haven't spilled all the liquid out of the florescent stick put some on the tip of your maker stick !!!  - makes life so much easier when you can see your markers clearly without having to strain your eyes ! ) so we knew exactly where to take the next measurement  from to create the next part of the design.
Some makers will have the design and measurements memorized but we had crouch down between the standing wheat with a small single led light which was barely visible to our crew but bright enough to check the design and measurements .

Just as we were ready to start on the outer design of our crop circle something very odd happened which made us all crouch down. To this day we have not been able to explain this !

Just as we were about to create another construction line ( this would have been the start of the design outside the main circle ) the entire field lit up a pale blue ! ( This pale blue can almost be described as the first light of dawn and it happened once before when we were out with other makers - at the time the light was blamed on moon light  ). We all ducked extremely fast and at first thought that a farmer was checking his field with a beam of light - we then looked up - the skies were dark and cloudy and no moon light was visible. It wasnt the farmer and it wasnt the moon so where the hell was this light coming from ?. What we all did notice is that this light did not bleed into surrounding fields, it was contained within the field we were working in !. It was totally bizarre .
One of the crew did become rather anxious and wanted to leave as he became rather spooked by the experience. So I decided to go with him to the edge of the field just to check if we were visible in this rather odd light. As we got closer to the edge of the field ( we chose the opposite side rather then the way we came in ) the light was still visible but when we turned around to see if we could see the rest of the crew and partly made crop circle - all we saw was complete darkness but when we walked back the light was still clearly there !!. So to make the other crew more at ease they did the same just so they were assured that what we explained was indeed true.
We wasted about half an hour but the crew were a little bit more comfortable that indeed it was as we had explained. Despite the reassurance the light however made everyone walk around the crop circle with  hunched backs and constant head turning as the feeling of being spotted was clearly on everyone's mind but we ploughed on and completed the 250 foot crop circle just after 2 am. We had a quick walk round to check that all intended areas for flattening were indeed flattened and here and there we also added some fancy hand twists to remaining upright wheat. Then we gathered all the belongings and checked that we exited with the same amount of equipment that we entered with.
We left the area for some sleep and returned to the field just before 8 am ( all equipment was now hidden in a different location so our vehicle was empty of anything suspect ) .
I have to say that I and the rest of the weary and back aching crew were very impressed. It looked like any other crop circle - the lay was tidy and neat with wheat bouncing back up in some places. The hand twist were effective and everything looked in proportion. It was a ' Give me five moment from the crew !'.
As the morning sun begun to rise we chilled, we lay down and watched the skies. By around 8.30 the first plane flew across with a camera flash going off so we knew it wouldn't be long before the news got out. We left the field by 9 am and sat in the car and waited. Sure enough an hour later or so the first vehicle turned up ( I do believe it was Bert Jansen ).
By the time we returned home aerial images were already displayed on Crop Circle Connector - WOW ! did we really make that ? - that was my first impression !
I returned to this crop circle in question the following day only to find hoards of foreign tourists sitting in circles and chanting some words of some sort or another. One lady sat around the hand twisted wheat with all kinds of crystals placed in the centre and meditating with her lips gently uttering quiet words. On the other side of the circle was some bearded chap with loads of earnings on his right year ( surprised he didn't topple over ! ) playing a huge didgeridoo .

I walked over to a couple who spoke broken English ( the accent was Dutch ) and asked them if they liked what they stood in, they said it was very impressive. Then I asked if they realised that this crop circle was man made ?! . My goodness I thought 3rd world war had erupted the way this chap lashed back at me and called me ' Bloody Crazy Man ' .- ' Its not possible for man to make something like this you fool ' he said in his Dutch accent. Hmmm the commotion created interest from other onlookers and came over to listen to what I had to say - I showed them how the crop circle was created - some took an interest and listened while the Dutch guy walked off in a huff !!! . Moments later Olivier Morel turned up and started making  phone calls with my name mentioned in conversation - no doubt to warn his entourage of my presence . ( I best not say any more as I will give away the crop circle we made - we don't want to do that - not just yet anyway ! )

The whole experience was absolutely essential to get a first hand experience in making a crop circle and then watching how others responded to something which you created and of course the weird, strange and wonderful theories start to pour as well, in  how aliens are warning us over some doomsday prediction which never happens.
So if you want to be a honest Crop Circle Researcher and researching its paranormal connection then this is one of the experiences you HAVE TO BE INVOLVED in so you can report truthfully rather than applying fiction to the phenomenon as it currently stands to this day. Fiction where some people live their lives around it . If you are one of the many who preach that crop circles are the creation by paranormal forces then for once in your lives do something constructive and get your hands dirty so you can be more wiser than you think you really are !. Dont be a Harold Camping and fool the public, don't take their money when you know that crop circles are made by people. Dont be a fool and release the public from this grip of nonsense.

Just for Info: We did leave a reasonable contribution to the farmer for his damage and images shown on this page are not  the crop circles made by us. PEACE

Sounds rather extreme and very far fetched but once we heard the way this was going to be conducted it made some sense especially as no extra resources will be utilised.
This news received currently stands as unconfirmed.
The farming community in Wiltshire are saying ' we have had enough and we are now uniting in fighting back against the many years of crop damage and now its time to do something about it '.
Apparently farmers will be cutting out all crop circles in 2012 if discovered on their land, not only this they have also taken other drastic measures to combat criminal activity on their land.
It appears that someone has contacted the Military Police for assistance. Generally the Military would not intervene in civil matters unless an order has been approved by a higher command. The proposal is that when Military choppers frequently fly during the night across the vast Wiltshire landscape and come across unusual activity in fields they will radio through precise co-ordinates to their base. Then all information will then be forwarded to the nearest Police Station who in turn will send out  dog handling officers to investigate.
Our own View on this matter
During 2011 Police did indeed act upon calls from farmers and at one stage several tourists were swooped on by undercover Police who suspected them to be crop circle makers. These tourists had their vehicles searched and all photos downloaded off their cameras and details taken and lets not forget the National Security Fiasco in Warwickshire where guys from Crop Circle Connector were caught by the Police with the tail dangling between their legs. They didn't make the crop circle but it shows that farmers wont hesitate to call the Police.
With 2012 just around the corner and all the hype surrounding this rather interesting year to be , the news is that experienced crop circle makers will be coming out of retirement to prop up the 2012 hype and the cash strapped crop circle community with some outstanding designs.
Personally I feel that all the extra measures taken ( if indeed they have - could also be a redirection to make you think that even with all the security measures in place crop circles will still mysteriously appear and HEY NO ONE GETS CAUGHT SO IT MUST BE ALIENS - Right !? ) will not bother the hardened and experienced circle maker, but one thing they will have to take into consideration is that Military style thermal and night vision has long range capabilities so that distant chopper may not look so harassing, well not until you hear dogs barking up the tram line anyway !
If this information is indeed true ( so far we suspect that there is some truth in it  ) then it would make a simple night watch with added caution and spoil some interesting times and sights but there again it could be another ploy to keep the tourist tucked under their warm duvets in some Bed and Breakfast, rather than hiding behind some bush hoping to catch circle makers at it.
Well - IT WONT STOP US POPPING OUT FOR THE NIGHT THAT'S FOR SURE !

Picture
Best to pop into ' Pets at Home ' and stock up on some doggy treats !!!

Well what can one say ? If we tried to tell you through written words, you probably wouldn't believe us. So just for the record here is some hypocrisy directly from the horses mouth.
Julian Gibsone states (on Facebook ) that new images have just arrived from John Montgomery !. Hmmm - Just in case, anyone who still doesn't know who John Montgomery is - John Montgomery IS in fact Julian Gibsone !
Then Stuart Dike from Crop Circle Connector congratulates John for flying in tricky conditions. Hmmmm Stuart Dike knows who John really is but still insists in calling his Crop Circle Connector colleague by his alias name rather than his real name.
Picture
If you still don't believe us - then here is the proof !
Picture
Why the lies and mind twisting ? Then Julian accuses others of using fake names, rather ironic - wouldn't you say !!!!!

July 31st 2009 was indeed a strange day. At the height of my own belief that crop circles were created by Extra Terrestrial entities, this day was nothing more than extraordinary.
Myself and Paul Jones set off early for Wiltshire as we had an appointment with Linda Moulton Howe and George Noory from coast to coast radio. We were going live where 10.000.000 American listeners were tuned in to listen to Linda Moulton Howes crop circle report and our June the 14th UFO experience.
Normally we take the hour long drive up the A417/A419 towards Marlborough on the A346 but on this day for some reason we decided to take the M4 motorway  and came off at junction  16 and headed towards A4361 which would take us into Avebury.
it was a bright and sunny Friday morning with hardly any traffic on the roads so we made good time.
Just as we approached the lower Hackpen Hill ( A4361 ) Paul looked to his left - towards the White Horse of Hackpen Hill. Paul then shouted ' stop - stop - stop there is something in the field below the White Horse'.
His eye sight served him well - directly below the White Horse was a freshly made and undiscovered crop circle, so we had to go and have a look.

The extra time we had on our hands was now slowly running out, being late for the live broadcast was not on our agenda so we took some quick shots and moved on.
Just as we resumed our journey along the A4361 Paul said ' I wouldn't be at all surprised if we found another crop circle'. Well, a mile or so up the road, Paul looked at me and I looked at Paul in disbelief as there was indeed yet another crop circle, this time in Winterbourne Bassett.  We were running out of time rather rapidly so we called Linda and Charles Mallet ( interview was going live from Charles Mallets house ) to give  to let them know that there was a possibility of us being slightly late.
Picture
The large plain circle was a previous crop circle which was cut out by the farmer - so this one was the 2nd one in this field.
We took some quick shots and resumed our journey once again.
We only had 10 minutes or so left before the 7am Coast to Coast show went live which was just about sufficient time to get to Yatesbury - unless of course we found more new circles !.
Who would have believed - just as we drove past the Red Lion Pub in Avebury, yet another new crop circle was spotted at the Peak of Waden Hill. This time there was no time to stop so we called Ariel photographers to fly as soon as possible as we knew that this circle would have a short life span. Once the farmer of this field found out that he had a circle in his crop he surely would cut it out.
We took a very quick shot from the road side and headed with speed towards Yatesbury.
With only a minute to spare we made the live show !.
Part 1 of the interview ( as crop circle believers ! )
Once we completed our slot on the show we dashed back to Avebury to try and grab some shots of the circle which was waiting for the wrath of the farmer.
When we arrived the circle was still there and no sign of the farmer just yet. So we run in as fast as we could and grabbed as many shots as we could. We were in the circle no more than 10 minutes when we spotted the tractor with cutting blades heading towards the formation.
Norwegian documentary maker arrived minutes before the farmers arrival, aerial photographers didn't make it on time - so hopefully sometime in 2012 we will get to see the action on film.
The images which we managed to take were later stitched together by 'Sunny' from China - to give us a semi aerial image.

Picture
The above image is a reconstruction of what the circle should have looked like simple by stitching pole shots which I took. AS shown below.
The farmer with his tractor and cutting blades arrives !
This farmer also cut out the Hackpen Hill crop circle which was the first crop circle discovered on this day.
Once all the excitement of the morning was over we took a drive through the many hot spots of Wiltshire before we were to meet up with Linda Moulton Howe and Lucy Pringle for lunch - no more crop circles were found or reported on this day. So we officially hold the record  as the only ones to have discovered 3 crop circles in 45 minutes. Well, they did make it easy for us as they were all visible from the roadside but one thing which we still cant fully take in is that we always took the A346 to Marlborough !. On this day however we take a different unplanned route and approached Avebury from a completely different direction. If we continued on our usual route then obviously we would have not discovered all 3 crop circles, so was something consciously guiding us !?. A question we will probably never answer.

Picture
During lunch with Linda Moulton Howe and Lucy Pringle the mornings adrenaline pumping events were somewhat destroyed as the conversation led to the topic of man made crop circles. At this point in time we were still very stringent believers that all crop circles were the creation of some paranormal force or even aliens, so I didn't particularly want to hear what was being said. Lucy described how to identify man made circles and Linda described the Avebury circle as the creation by Matthew Williams. I asked Lucy whether there were actual crop circles created by paranormal forces but the answer which I received was ' I don't have an opinion' .
I didn't pursue the man made topic as I really didn't want to hear any  such trash. ( I now shiver with the thought of how wrong we were at the time).

After lunch - it was time to head home.
As we were leaving Silent Circle in Compton Bassett - approximately half a mile or so later I spotted something strange in the sky. At this point the sunny day turned to a thick covering of  cloud which was slowly heading towards Avebury. As we were driving - at first I thought nothing of it but as we continued driving along the twisty road I realised that whatever was in the sky was in fact keeping level with my vehicle. So whether I took a left or right turn this something was constantly level with my car.  What I saw at the time could be described as the ' hull of a sea ferring ship ' cutting through the cloud and was followed by something at the side of it or directly beneath it. ( yes I know - it does sound odd ! )
An avenue of trees along the roadside were frustratingly blocking my view so I was getting glimpses of this odd sighting now and again. So I grabbed my camera, turned the dial to multishoot, stuck my hand high out of the car and kept pressing the shutter ( while driving slowly and trying to find a break in the trees so I could get a clear shot !) .

Image below shows what I saw at the time and described as ' A hull of of a ship cutting through cloud '. An object is also travelling alongside or just directly beneath . Take note of the thick cloud cover.

Picture
And then moments later the cloud parted and from nowhere a classic style UFO shaped disc shot into the clearing. I couldn't press the shutter fast enough !!!!!
Picture
We lost sight of it temporarily but then it reappeared as a white light which was heading towards Silbury Hill. We followed it but lost sight of it just as it went over Silbury Hill.

We now know that the 3 crop circles we discovered on 31st of July were man made but this no longer bothers me as I truly appreciate the creative capability of some very talented human artists. If it wasn't for these artists then experiences and discoveries such as this would not happen. It is a pity that all the energy wasted by crop circle visitors and crop circle makers is not utilised in the right direction of research. There is something incredible happening in Wiltshire that's for sure, from conscious interaction and sightings of things which are clearly not recognised in this world but sadly there are the select few who continue to cloud your minds that crop circles are created by paranormal entities which changes your perspective of what is REALLY happening.  Please do not be taken in by anyone who has an interest in your cash and credit cards - go out there on your own accord and explore with your own free will - I can assure there is deceit , corruption and also something mysteriously beautiful. PEACE.
