Sounds rather extreme and very far fetched but once we heard the way this was going to be conducted it made some sense especially as no extra resources will be utilised.
This news received currently stands as unconfirmed.
The farming community in Wiltshire are saying ' we have had enough and we are now uniting in fighting back against the many years of crop damage and now its time to do something about it '.
Apparently farmers will be cutting out all crop circles in 2012 if discovered on their land, not only this they have also taken other drastic measures to combat criminal activity on their land.
It appears that someone has contacted the Military Police for assistance. Generally the Military would not intervene in civil matters unless an order has been approved by a higher command. The proposal is that when Military choppers frequently fly during the night across the vast Wiltshire landscape and come across unusual activity in fields they will radio through precise co-ordinates to their base. Then all information will then be forwarded to the nearest Police Station who in turn will send out  dog handling officers to investigate.
Our own View on this matter
During 2011 Police did indeed act upon calls from farmers and at one stage several tourists were swooped on by undercover Police who suspected them to be crop circle makers. These tourists had their vehicles searched and all photos downloaded off their cameras and details taken and lets not forget the National Security Fiasco in Warwickshire where guys from Crop Circle Connector were caught by the Police with the tail dangling between their legs. They didn't make the crop circle but it shows that farmers wont hesitate to call the Police.
With 2012 just around the corner and all the hype surrounding this rather interesting year to be , the news is that experienced crop circle makers will be coming out of retirement to prop up the 2012 hype and the cash strapped crop circle community with some outstanding designs.
Personally I feel that all the extra measures taken ( if indeed they have - could also be a redirection to make you think that even with all the security measures in place crop circles will still mysteriously appear and HEY NO ONE GETS CAUGHT SO IT MUST BE ALIENS - Right !? ) will not bother the hardened and experienced circle maker, but one thing they will have to take into consideration is that Military style thermal and night vision has long range capabilities so that distant chopper may not look so harassing, well not until you hear dogs barking up the tram line anyway !
If this information is indeed true ( so far we suspect that there is some truth in it  ) then it would make a simple night watch with added caution and spoil some interesting times and sights but there again it could be another ploy to keep the tourist tucked under their warm duvets in some Bed and Breakfast, rather than hiding behind some bush hoping to catch circle makers at it.
Well - IT WONT STOP US POPPING OUT FOR THE NIGHT THAT'S FOR SURE !
