During the 2012 crop circle season and many other seasons, donation boxes have been broken into and donations have been stolen. This farmer in question is asking all visitors who take photos of donation boxes in crop circles , not to post such images on websites and facebook pages as this encourages opportunist thieves to the area.
In 2012 farmers have had machinery, field gates, tools, diesel, straw bales, grain and food for livestock stolen.
Also - this year crop growth is struggling due to a cold and wet winter which at the moment is retaining its grip on the UK. In some cases farmers have not been able to plant spring wheat due to soggy fields. Fields which have been planted, seedlings have barely risen off the ground and in some cases seedlings are beginning to rot.So unless the weather changes soon ( which apparently the cold spell is to continue ) some farmers are already considering writing off their crop as a failed harvest !!!
So this farmer is asking ( I cant say it in the words he used ! ) ' For once listen and stop your artwork in our fields, this year is going to be tough for all the farmers out there and the last thing we need is tourists trampling through fields and our crop .
( As I said his words were not so polite, but there you go ! ) Question is will anyone listen ?
