A self appointed group know as ' The Core Group Initiative ' have be corroborating with farmers and the Police over the last few weeks . Their proposal which is flawed from the start had filled my mail box asking me ' what is going on ? '. The concerns which have raised are that crop circles have now become a business. ( They got it right There !! ) . The image below states that part of the donations will be given to charity and part will be taken to compensate for the farmers loss. OK fair enough but there are issues which the self appointed group has not taken into account ... Well Im sure they will after reading this.
The concerns and flaws which have been highlighted are below the text image as seen below:
This is what we found on Wiltshires Crop Circle Study Groups Web Page ....
Paul Jacobs - WCCSG Trustee
Paul Jacobs lives near Cambridge UK but is a recognizable figure in the Wiltshire crop circle landscape . . . if you see an old French Citroen van around, you will know he’s not far away. He spends most of the summer months living in his van in close proximity to the fields keeping a close eye on new events.
He was introduced to Ufology at the age of nine and at 14 witnessed a moving green luminescent light anomaly at close quarters which had a profound effect on him. Taking an interest in the crop circles in the late 90's seemed to be a natural step for him.
Paul is very practical and grounded, working in property restoration and development, he also maintains a keen interest in psychology and social behavior. Public Relations is of special interest to Paul; he works closely with local farmers in an attempt to build bridges between them and crop circle visitors. He is the author of ‘The Little Book of Crop Circle Rhyme’, which is the only book of verse on the subject of crop circles.
Our concerns and questions are as follows but first :
"Let me just say here to reassure you that it goes without saying that you should never give money to anyone who is not an authorised collector holding appropriate documentation and an official name-badge. Bogus collectors will be identified and dealt with by the authorities for fraud."
But last year he collected money from tourists without the permission of the farmer .. (fact !)
Is Mr. Jacobs business so successful that he can spend summer months living in his Citroen van and making wild claims about crop circles like he has been proven to do so ?
Is Wiltshire Crop Circle Study Group paying Paul Jacobs to be there on site 24/7 so he can fabricate all evidence like he did in 2012 ?
Or is Mr. Jacobs claiming Government benefits while spending his summer time in Wiltshire ?
Or is Mr. Jacobs having a cut from farmers entry fee to see a crop circle ?
How will the farmer know what has been collected from each circle by Mr. Jacobs crew?
Has the farmer considered that a small percentage of money taken by appointed strangers may have a temptation to pocket some of the takings for themselves !!
Will the framer issue a report how much was taken per crop circle and how much was donated to charity and which charity so we can confirm that this has indeed been done, as said by the self appointed group ?
If we have 50 or so crop circles this 2013 season ( highly unlikely , but !) will there be 50 people appointed to guard each circle in rain or shine and who will provide protection to these people and who will pay them and out of what ? - your contributions perhaps !
Apologies to you all if you find the questioning below the belt but its always good to know who these people are that you are dealing with and how are they able to be in Wiltshire guarding crop circles 24/7 without having to work for a living ??!!
Does the farmer realize that by charging visitors to enter his land he then has to provide Liability Insurance to protect himself just in case you injure yourself while visiting a crop circle on his land ?!
So if you slip on mud and break a leg you have the right to claim compensation !!
If the farmer is simply asking for a donation which is up to you whether you contribute or not and states that you enter his land at your own risk then you can still claim compensation but this time a court may state that you took it upon yourself to enter the farmers land and by doing so you waiver all responsibility on your self.
Concerns have been raised by the public who feel that they are being made to pay to enter land where you can in theory enter for free under the RIGHT TO ROAM/ RAMBLE act . providing you do not cause damage to the landscape or agricultural crop .
So the majority are now stating that ' Crop Circles Are Nothing More Than A Business '
Heres an Example :
"The reality is that far more donations are made when collection is done in person rather than left to an honesty box"
"This endeavor, it has to be said, yielded a substantial amount of money and looking forward to this coming summer, the situation is likely to evolve."
"one Canadian visitor was similarly impressed and gave a £200 donation there and then straight out of his pocket!"
Quotes from Paul Jacobs, Spiral magazine no 161
Another valid question you need to ask Mr. Paul Jacobs is:
As a crop circle visitor you also have the right to know if Mr. Jacobs will inform you that you are entering a ' man made crop circle ' or are you entering ' A paranormal / alien made crop circle ' ?. Will you be given a choice to go in or not ???. If Mr. Jacobs informs you that its from a paranormal origin then you have the right to ask to see their analysis/data to confirm that to be the case !!! . Please do so !
